We celebrated Cook Islands language week at our school.
The theme for this Year is:
Taku rama, taau toi: ora te reo
Meaning:My torch, your adze: The language lives
To celebrate Cook Island language week, the Student councillors sang a song called: Te tere nei. This song is a popular children’s song sung during church. It’s about the train going to heaven and everyone needs to hop on board.
